Rules of affixing CE mark aren’t complicated. With our blog you should easily learn how the CE symbol shall be placed on products. One should keep in mind that whereas affixing the CE mark is obligatory for certain goods, for all the others – it’s FORBIDDEN!
The basic rule is to place the CE mark somewhere visible, so that the person buying the item would be able to see it. If we’re talking an online shop, one of the pictures should definitely be of CE mark affixed on the product. It’s that important.
The rest of the rule vary, based on type of the product. Usually affixing CE mark on the item is allowed through a label, however some goods require it’s firm placement.
Another general rule is that the CE symbol shall be of at least 5 mm high. If the nature (size) of the item doesn’t allow it, the CE mark shall be affixed to the packaging and to the accompanying document(s). Yet for some good categories it’s required that the CE mark would be affixed to the product, no matter the size.
